Beware of phishing

Phishing is way of imitating the original website or app using a clone site to harvest credentials or spread viruses and malware.

Phishing is done in different ways the most advanced type of phishing can bypass the two-step authentication without you knowing.

Typical phishing method:

1. In this method the hacker create a clone of website which need to be send to the victim.

2. He tries to create a website having domain similar to original website.

3. He then create a e-mail id which seem to be legitimate as a professional one.

4. Then he sends the web-page to the victim by e-mail.

5. When the victim open the mail and uses it to login the credentials of the web-page is posted to the hacker.



Tips to avoid phishing:

1. Do not login with the links send through the e-mail or messages from unknown mailer.

2. Try to take a look at the URL (address on top of the browser) and verify it with the google.



What to do after being a victim of Phishing:

In case you have into any phishing attack of social media website follow these tips to get rid of it

1. Just try resetting the password .

2. Try to make a post that you account is hacked a someone else is using it this discourages the hacker to post unwanted things from your account

3. If the the hacker has removed your backup phone number try using your backup e-mail id given at the time of signing-up.

4. If any of the tips do not resolve your problem try to deactivate your account by getting support from the website’s customer service.


In case of bank account try contacting your bank immediately

These  are some important things you need to remember to use prevent yourself from being hacked.
